Displaying Errors and Comments

 

Do you think that error values look awful when printed? Do you want to display comments on printed sheets? Worry not! There is an easy solution to handle errors on print. You can set excel for displaying errors and comments as you like them on paper.

You can set your workbooks for displaying errors and comments the way you want them on paper. To do this, you need to open Page setup window. You can access page setup window through Page Layout ribbon. Clicking on Print Titles button or the expand symbol below it will display page setup window.

On this window, when you navigate to Sheets tab, you may find setup areas for comments and errors.

 

Avaliable Options For Errors:

  • Display as it is
  • Display as blank cell
  • Display as –
  • Display as #N/A
page_setup (errors)

 

Available Options for Comments:

  • Do not display
  • Display at the end of the sheet
  • Display as it is
page_setup (comments)

Once you set these options, on anything you print from this worksheet will be displayed the way you set them on paper.

Note that this setup for displaying errors and comments will be valid only on related worksheet and on printouts.
