I have been getting feedback about visitors being unable to download files I included into my posts. I have tried time and again with different browser and platforms. Every time I was able to download without any problem at all. This led me to think that perhaps I should make a download FAQ page that explains how downloads works in beatexcel.
This download FAQ page will show you how to download files from beatexcel.com.
I have made a change in downloads which I hope is not too annoying. When you click on download links, instead starting the download, it will open a download page that has the download link. By clicking this link you can download example files.
Known issue: Download page may not open in older versions of Internet Explorer.
Download page and download links are tested with following browsers:
Mozilla Firefox 28.0
Google Chrome Version 34.0.1847.116 m
Internet Explorer Version 11.0
Android Mobile Browser (my smartphone)
Here are the step by step guide for downloading files from beatexcel.com. I used Google Chrome for this tutorial but steps are almost same in each browser.
Step 1: Click on the download link at the end of the post.
Step 2: A download page will be opened as a new page. Which includes download link. As you can see from the picture below, link is pretty much distinguished and very easy to locate.
Step 3: Click on the link and your download will start immediately. Enjoy : )
