Get Rid of GetPivotData
Almost everybody I know wants to get rid of GetPivotData function. Because when you are writing a formula and use a cell reference from a pivot table, you will see a function named GetPivotData. This function keeps your references working in case of a change in pivot table.
Copying this formula (even with removing $ signs) will not work as normal functions. Therefore using references from pivot tables in formulas is not pleasant.
However, there is an easy way to get rid of GetPivotData function. This way you can use pivot table references like any normal data table.
To get rid of GetPivotData, open options window in Excel (FILE -> Options). Navigate to Formulas tab and uncheck the box shown below.
