Save As Single File Webpage (MHTML)

There are several ways to protect your files or having them viewed on web browsers. But MHTML format makes both possible at once. When you save your files in Excel save as Single File Web Page (MHTML) to create a file that will be displayed in any browser as a webpage.

After your workbook is saved as mhtml file, you will have a file that looks like this:

Things to keep in mind:

Your workbooks will be saved as read-only in mhtml format. Meaning your data can be copied but can not be modified. Also any functionality like buttons, slicers, etc. will not work after you save as single file webpage.
